The thing that’s taking the longest is working out logistics: Do I want these all to be the same size? How should I package the finished pieces? Should I describe the project, or just let the message be a mystery?

I figure the project is still in a beta version at the moment, so right now I’ve come up with a few solutions that might well change in the future. Here’s a little info about the process thus far:

*** This project is on hiatus until after I finish grad school.  I have a few pieces to make and send (and I will do that for sure), so please be patient if you requested one that hasn’t gone out yet.  I’ll get the ball rolling on this again sometime after May 2011. ****

In the comment field below, type a positive message for someone, the name of the person needing the message, and your own name. I will embroider all of this and send it to the recipient.

These things are absolutely essential:

1 – Keep it positive. Yes, sometimes people need a kick in the pants, but this is not the forum for that.

2 – Keep it short. Use Twitter as your guide and keep sayings to 140 characters or less.

3 – Include your own name and the name of the person you’d like to receive your message. Please also include your e-mail address so I can reach you later (I promise these will not be sold and will not appear on the comments page for others to see).

4 – Keep it specific.  If I receive more than three requests for a particular message, I’ll retire it. Or maybe I’ll make a bunch of them and sell them on Etsy. We’ll see if it comes to that.

I will contact you via e-mail so I can get the address of your recipient.  Please don’t request an object for yourself–this is about spreading the love. If you want a piece have someone request a phrase for you.
